How Kindness Stimulates Growth
Kindness Tested
I was on the phone the other week with a representative from Lifepro, a company that makes handheld massage guns. My charger got lost and I had the warranty to get a new one. Upon initially voicing my need, the representative, Susan, was focusing on the fact that they could not provide a new charger for me since I bought the product off of Ebay. I pressed the issue as clearly and directly as I could believing that the charger was able to be replaced. Finally she said “sir the only vendor we honor warranties for is through this specific vendor. I smiled and quickly said “That’s who I bought it from.” Her demeanor quickly shifted as she hurried to make sure the request was processed. At the end of the call, she asked me if there was anything else she could assist me with. I told her to make sure that they ask good questions to the customer before assuming they are not covered for an item replacement. She assured me that she would. Later I received this message from here via text:
Do you see how her attitude changed once she knew I was eligible for a replacement, but also how she responded to my understanding of how her job usually is on a regular basis? Kindness is know to melt hearts, if not immediately, then gradually. On this day it was instant. And remember that every interaction you have is an chance to share your faith with others. A week passed and then I got the charge in the mail. No one could have predicted what happened next!
You know never how your kindness will impress someone’s life. Every kind action strengthens your willingness to think of others, especially when someone is mistreating you or giving you the cold shoulder. Jesus says this is greater love when you can bestow gifts and goodness onto those who give you the complete opposite! This is is following Jesus’ example when He died for you and me in spite of all the sin we cast onto His shoulders. Let’s make a difference people of God. Let’s be kind to those who are not!
