Generosity Builds Curiosity
It is Better to Give
You’ve heard it said and saw it shared. Now we are staring at an old adage again. If your life feels boring, get out into the public and commit a kind act of generosity toward someone. This challenge is for your pocketbook.
I hunt for prey daily, people who could benefit from a generous act. Really all of us can! When was the last time you gave money, bought or paid for an item or service for someone you didn’t know. What was that experience like? Do you feel your blood rush through your heart?! Looking for an adrenaline rush? Help someone you don’t know. Help someone with a flat tire, buy someone’s Subway sandwich. Buy some sunglasses and give them away to a stranger. Report back once you’ve completed this assignment and plan to do this at least once month, once a week if you are an overachiever! Ready to level up? Find a family member you don’t talk to much or have a strained relationship with and send them a random gift or letter of affirmation. If you live close to them, hand deliver it!
Watch and see how your curiosity about people increases! And please please please, don’t record it or share it on social media. Keep it anonymous. Don’t let your right hand know what your left hand is up to.
